Born 1997 in Dearborn, MI, Sophia Moreno is a multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer. She received her BFA in Graphic Design from Wayne State University and her MFA in 2D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2025. After founding her apparel brand, Disco Dime, in 2020, her practice expanded from digital design into airbrush painting, apparel, and installation. Through portraiture and image-making, her work explores the visual economy of femininity, paying attention to femininity as a social surface, something shaped by projection and collective memory, and in how those surfaces can be reclaimed.
